(left) The two Stack-and-Drag structures have been built-up from the bottom upwards. This is in line with the actual embryonal development of a sunflower head (~1mm, photo by Pieters), where the first little bumps arise at the perphery of the smooth apical dome.
(right, top and center) In contrary, these Dislodgement structures are center-outward stackings, resulting in a composite and a shrinking pattern.
(bottom right) The nearly centric vegetative development in the left cross section morphs into an embryonal sunflower head in the right one.
